Drake Interact Club Helps Patients with Diabetes

This past December Sir Francis Drake High School students in Ross Valley Rotary Club’s Interact program staffed a gift-wrap station in downtown San Anselmo and sold handmade cards to support Marin Community Clinic. Under the leadership of Rotarian and School to Career Partnership Liaison Roberta Dossick, these dedicated and enthusiastic teens raised $215 to purchase glucose monitoring supplies for patients in need. When discussing the varied issues of concern to Marin residents, the girls agreed that health care was an urgent need – and that Marin Community Clinic was the medical facility that they most wanted to support. We are grateful for their generosity and hope that they will be inspired to be life-long community health advocates.
